Angelica root extract is ethanol extract of dry root of umbellifer angelica sinensis. The active ingredients contain ligustilide, n-butylidene phthalide, ferulic acid, nicotinic acid, sucrose and various amino acids as well as sesquiterpenoids. It is mainly used for enriching the blood and activating blood, and boosting immunit. In 2015 China Pharmacopoeia, angelica root extract has the effects of enriching the blood and activating blood, regulating menstruation and relieving pain, relaxing bowel. Process:
Angelica root extract is derived from the dry root of angelica sinensis. Harvesting in late autumn, removing the fibrous roots and sediment, after the water is slightly evaporated, tying into wisps, putting on shed, smoke seasoning with smoke and fire. Putting raw materials into pot and add 12 times amount of solvent, reflux extraction for 3 times at low temperature between 50℃ and 65 ℃, extraction time for 3 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour respectively, filtering the extract, merging the filter liquor of the 3 times,concentrating under reduced pressure to extractum with the relative density of 1.10-1.20 (room temperature), spray drying, destroying into 80 mesh powder, entering warehouse after packing and testing, then the angelica root extract will be obtained.
Ligustilide, one of the main ingredient of angelica root extract, is light yellow grease with fragrance. The studies have shown that ligustilide is helpful of antispasmodic, asthma, and sedative effect. It can improve microcirculation, loosing smooth muscle, inhibiting germ, and improve the body's immune regulation function.
